Yes, blood work can be done at the LabCorp, located conveniently in our office. No appointment is necessary. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. (closed for lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m.). Please check with your provider to see whether you need to fast prior to getting your labs drawn.
Upon provider approval, your refill requests will be processed in 3 business days – please factor that into the timing of your refill requests. Narcotics, anti-anxiety medications, muscle relaxers, anti-insomnia, and similar medications WILL NOT be called into pharmacies after hours, on weekends, or on holidays by the on-call provider. Monthly narcotic refills require monthly visits and/or referral to a pain management clinic.
Lab results that are normal or require no change in treatment, will not be called or mailed. If your lab results are abnormal and require a treatment change or to start treatment, you will be called to set up an appointment to review your lab results with a provider. For x-rays or other test ordered by your provider, the results will be called to you. Information will be communicated to you directly or left on your voicemail/answering machine. Please provide us with a phone number where you can be reached or where confidential voice messages can be left.
Information will not be communicated to relatives or others unless you have specifically requested this in writing (this includes spouses and parents of legal-aged children). This is to maintain confidentiality. The phone number you leave as your contact number indicates you are willing to receive confidential messages regarding your healthcare at that number unless you specify otherwise in writing.
Please call 919.735.1400 to schedule an appointment. We do our best to get patients in as soon as possible, but since we follow a timely schedule, we do not accept walk-ins. Many times, same-day appointments can be accommodated. If it is a medical emergency, you should go to the emergency room or call 911.
Yes, however prescriptions written by another provider cannot be refilled without an appointment. We will also need medical records sent directly from the previous provider and the patient must come in to see one of our physicians or nurse practitioners before a prescription is refilled. Prescriptions last written over 1 year ago also cannot be refilled without an appointment. We may not write a prescription for controlled substances (including narcotic pain medicines and stimulant ADD medicines). Yes. We provide a full spectrum well-woman care, including pap smears, pelvic exams and breast examinations.
Yes. In almost all cases, some payment is required at the visit, whether it is a deductible, a co-pay, or payment for any non-covered services.

A Self-Pay patient is either uninsured or has an insurance plan we are not in-network with. Self-Pay Patients pay in full at the time of visit for our services and we are not required to file claim or submit any documentation on his/her behalf to a third party. Prompt-Pay discount is provided to Self-Pay patient when payment is made in full at the time of visit for our services.
Will I be eligible for the discount if I have High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) or Health Savings Account (HSA)?
Yes, if you do not require us to file a claim to your insurance plan and you pay in full at the time of your visit for our services. You are then considered a “Self-Pay” patient and you are eligible for prompt-pay discount. We will provide you with a super-bill (itemized charges for our services) at check out, which you can use to submit a claim to your insurance carrier or justify funds drawn from HSA account. No, if you require us to file a claim to your insurance plan (in which we participate). In such case, our insurance contracted negotiated rates apply and the prompt-pay discount does not apply.
